Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa: Special Edition Laps Balocco Track
Watch the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa special edition lapping Balocco. Developed with Luna Rossa, it features a carbon wing, 520 hp V6, and unique design.
Alfa Romeo has released a video of the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa lapping the Balocco track, the brand's historic proving ground. According to Motor1, this special edition is readying for its first deliveries and was initially unveiled at the Brussels auto show.
The Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa was developed in partnership with the Luna Rossa sailing team and BottegaFuoriserie, the personalization division of Alfa Romeo and Maserati. The most obvious exterior detail is a large carbon-fiber rear wing. But the aerodynamic changes go beyond looks: at 300 km/h, the sedan generates up to 140 kg of downforce.
Under the hood, the recipe stays true to classic Alfa Romeo. The 2.9-liter V6 produces 520 hp and 600 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, a mechanical limited-slip differential, and rear-wheel drive. That means this special edition isn't just a styling exercise—it's a genuine driver's car.
The design also echoes Luna Rossa themes. The body gets a special iridescent paint finish inspired by the AC75 Luna Rossa yacht that competed in the 37th America's Cup in Barcelona in 2024. Inside, there are personalized Sparco seats, and the dashboard is trimmed with a material linked to the sailing world.
The live public debut of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa is set for May 24 at the Bay of Angels in Cagliari, where the preliminary regattas for the 38th America's Cup will begin.
