The first-generation Audi R8 gets a radical Liberty Walk widebody kit with bolt-on arches, adjustable air suspension, and custom wheels. A stunning modified supercar.

The first-generation Audi R8 got a dramatic makeover that echoes the style of Japanese tuner Liberty Walk. Based on photos shared on Liberty Walk's social media, it appears to be an early R8 built at the Neckarsulm plant between 2006 and 2015.

The centerpiece is a wide body kit with bolt-on arch extensions. The supercar also gains new side skirts, a small ducktail spoiler, and decorative decals on the red bodywork and windshield. Large black wheels with a deep concave profile, especially at the rear, complete the look.

Another key modification is an adjustable air suspension. It drops the R8 extremely low, giving it a show-car appearance rather than that of a standard road-going supercar. The cabin is hidden behind tinted windows, but the source notes that Liberty Walk typically leaves the interior untouched and does not offer power upgrades for such projects.

The first-gen Audi R8 was offered with V8 4.2 and V10 5.2 engines. Depending on the version, it could be equipped with a manual gearbox, a single-clutch automated transmission, or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Under the skin, the R8 was closely related to the Lamborghini Gallardo, making it one of Audi's most interesting models of its time.
