ICE St Moritz 2026: dates, schedule, classes, and highlights

Discover ICE St Moritz 2026: January 30–31 on the frozen lake with 52 cars, five classes, parades, jury awards, and safety-first procedures. Schedule inside.

ICE St Moritz 2026 will take place on January 30–31 across the frozen lake in St. Moritz, high in the Swiss Alps. At 1,856 meters above sea level, the setting is part of the appeal: 52 cars, five competition categories, and parades that bring the machines onto the ice in showcase runs.

Event organizer Marco Makaus has moved the dates a month earlier than in previous editions to avoid clashes with other automotive gatherings and to preserve the concours’ exclusive character. The earlier slot should give the event more breathing room on the calendar.

The 2026 classes include Barchettas on the Lake (two-seat open cars), Open Wheels (historic single-seaters from the 1950s–1970s), Birth of the Hypercar, as well as Icons on Wheels and Legendary Liveries. An international jury of experts, restorers, and journalists will judge the entries. The top honor is Best in Show, with Best in Class and a Best Sound award also on the roster — a subtle nod to the emotional side of these machines.

Both days begin at 09:00 with a static display. On Friday, the first awards ceremony is scheduled for 16:00, while the final ceremony runs on Saturday from 16:00 to 17:00. The program also features a Drivers Lounge and the I.C.E. Art Show, adding quiet spaces for conversation and context around the metal on the ice.

Organizers note continuous monitoring of ice thickness and dedicated safety procedures. ICE St Moritz remains a standout stage for showcasing top-tier classics and collectible models, and on a venue like this, that safety focus feels as integral as the spectacle.
