Ram recalls 79 2025 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks over ORC safety module fault

Ram recalls 79 2025 Ram 2500/3500 trucks over an ORC defect that can disable ESC and impair airbag and seatbelt pretensioners. Dealers will inspect and replace.

Ram has recalled 79 vehicles from the 2025 Ram 3500 and 2500 lineup due to a potential fault in the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) safety module.

In a notice sent to the Ministry of Infrastructure, the company said that a manufacturing defect could cause the ORC to switch off the electronic stability control (ESC). If that occurs, ESC may deactivate without warning, increasing the risk of losing control. The notice also stated that seatbelt pretensioners and airbags might not deploy correctly in a crash. A glitch that can disable stability control is a serious concern on any heavy-duty pickup, all the more so when it may compromise supplemental restraints.

Ram advises owners of affected trucks to contact an authorized Ram dealer for an inspection and, if needed, a complimentary ORC module replacement.
