J.D. Power study: 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer leads compact crossovers, ties Subaru Crosstrek
J.D. Power ranks the 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer atop compact crossovers, tied with Subaru Crosstrek. Encore GX follows. See pros, cons, and safety highlights.
For anyone who admired the earlier Chevrolet TrailBlazer, the latest iteration is worth a closer look. A study by J.D. Power places the current TrailBlazer at the top of the compact crossover field among 2025 model-year vehicles.
It shares that lead with the popular Subaru Crosstrek, as both models earned an identical score of 86 points.
Close behind, the related Buick Encore GX confidently took third place with 85 points.
Despite the warm owner reception, a few small complaints do surface: some note underwhelming sound from the factory audio system, and there are reports of slight discomfort linked to the powertrain’s behavior.
Even so, the strengths carry more weight. Most users point to tight build quality and overall reliability. Fuel efficiency stands out, as do lively acceleration and a comfortable cabin—an appealing balance for a compact crossover.
The SUV also offers a range of modern safety measures, including ten airbags and active driver-assistance features with lane-keeping support.
