In China, the first official images of the all-new Buick Electra E7 PHEV have been released—the third electrified model in SAIC-GM’s Electra sub-brand. The crossover draws on the Electra GS concept and embraces the brand’s new Kinetic Sculpture philosophy. Up front, split headlamps, stretched C-shaped DRLs, and a sharp, shark-like profile underscore its dynamic intent; the look feels assertive without tipping into excess.

The sense of lightness along the sides is supported by tidy wheel arches and distinctive semi-flush door handles—a first for the Electra family and a nod to updated Chinese safety rules. The Electra E7 PHEV also features a panoramic roof and, on higher trims, a semi-autonomous driving setup with LiDAR. Co-developed with technology partner Momenta, it is integrated into Buick’s intelligent driver-assistance suite.

The Electra E7 is expected to launch with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, with fully electric variants potentially joining later. Positioned between the previously introduced Electra L7 sedan and Electra Encasa minivan, it aims to reinforce Buick’s presence in China’s NEV arena while neatly clarifying the lineup for buyers.
