Detroit’s biggest auto show opens on January 14 and runs through January 25 at Huntington Place, drawing industry insiders, car fans, and would-be buyers under one roof.

Global heavyweights—Ford, General Motors, Stellantis, and Toyota—have already confirmed their presence. That lineup alone suggests the Detroit show, after years of format experiments and pandemic disruptions, has reclaimed its status as a must-attend event for the industry.

The program starts with a dedicated media day for professional journalists. The morning will be marked by the ceremony announcing winners of the prestigious North American Car of the Year, Truck of the Year, and Utility Vehicle of the Year awards, setting the tone for the months ahead.

Company executives will take the stage to outline their latest technologies, development work, and road maps for the shift to cleaner vehicles, underscoring the central role of electric mobility rather than treating it as a side note.

Staying true to tradition, the Detroit show will also include the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix program, organized together with the IndyCar Series. Visitors will get a close look at team practice sessions, new model testing, and appearances by well-known drivers—an extra shot of spectacle that keeps crowds engaged.
