Skoda Epiq spied in Spain: specs, range and design details
Skoda Epiq, a compact B-segment EV on MEB+ with FWD, spied in Spain: specs, 425 km range, LFP/NMC batteries, 90–130 kW DC charging, production details.
Skoda is pressing ahead with its electric push after the Enyaq and Elroq, lining up an even more compact model — the Epiq. The B-segment crossover was shown in Munich in September 2025 as an almost production-ready concept, as previously reported by 32CARS.RU, and now a prototype was spotted testing in Spain that looks about as close to production as it gets.
Much of the exterior echoes the show car: distinctive cutouts in the lower bumper, T-shaped DRLs, and door-mounted mirrors. The series version reads calmer, yet clearly follows the Modern Solid design language Skoda established with the Elroq. At the rear, there’s a more upright tail with a raked window and chunky pillars, while the front bumper shows slim ducts for brake cooling.
The more interesting bit is under the skin: the Epiq moves to the MEB+ architecture (also referred to as MEB Entry) with front-wheel drive in place of the MEB’s typical rear-drive layout. It also swaps a rear multi-link suspension for a torsion beam. For a city-focused EV, that’s a pragmatic trade — simpler, cheaper, lighter — and it usually means a little extra room for the trunk.
According to the stated targets, the Epiq will offer LFP and NMC batteries, a WLTP range of up to 425 km, DC charging at 90 kW (LFP) or 130 kW (NMC), and 10–80% in 27 or 23 minutes, respectively. Overall length is about 4.1 meters, and the boot is promised to hold up to 490 liters — an ambitious figure for the segment. Within the group, MEB+ production is concentrated in Spain: the Epiq and its related Volkswagen ID. Cross are expected to be built in Pamplona.
