BYD Seal 07 EV specs surface in MIIT: 69.07 kWh, 705 km range
Chinese MIIT filing reveals BYD Seal 07 EV: 69.07 kWh battery, 705 km CLTC range, 240 kW single motor, lidar-ready tech, dimensions 4995×1910×1495 mm.
The electric BYD Seal 07 EV has made its first official appearance in Chinese regulatory filings, with the MIIT database revealing the battery capacity and the claimed range of the upcoming midsize sedan. According to the documents, the Seal 07 EV is equipped with a 69.07 kWh traction battery and is rated for 705 km. The test cycle isn’t specified, so it’s reasonable to assume the figure is based on CLTC, where range numbers are traditionally more optimistic.
The paperwork lists a single-motor powertrain with a peak output of 240 kW. Visually, the Seal 07 EV closely follows the hybrid Seal 07 DM-i: slim headlights, a clean, unadorned front end, and flush-fitting door handles. A lidar unit on the roof hints at broader driver-assistance capabilities, underscoring a tech-forward approach that many buyers now expect in this segment.
At the rear, the full-width signature light bar remains, while the EV badge on the left side of the trunk lid marks out the electric version. Dimensions come in at 4995x1910x1495 mm with a 2900 mm wheelbase. For context, the Seal 07 DM-i is similar in length, height, and wheelbase, but 10 mm narrower. In other words, BYD isn’t just refreshing the hybrid—it’s preparing a standalone, all-electric variant to strengthen the expanding Seal sedan lineup.
