Opel Grandland GSE confirmed for 2026 as flagship EV
Opel confirms the 2026 Grandland GSE: a fully electric flagship with a 97 kWh battery, WLTP range over 600 km and 325+ hp, heading the brand's GSE lineup.
2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for Opel’s GSE performance line. The German brand has confirmed a new Grandland GSE, set to crown the range for power and technology. The second-generation crossover will adopt a fully electric powertrain and join a broader product refresh scheduled for 2026, a move that clearly positions GSE as the spearhead of Opel’s EV push.
Development of the Opel Grandland GSE is already underway. The model will use a 97 kWh battery—the largest in the brand’s lineup—with an expected WLTP range of more than 600 km. Output will exceed 325 hp, making the Grandland GSE the most powerful version of the model.
In essence, Opel is banking on a blend of strong performance and zero-emissions motoring while preserving the athletic character of the GSE badge. Framed as the flagship for pace and exclusivity, the new SUV is poised to set the tone for the brand’s next wave of electrified models.
