MG Motor Malaysia has unveiled a special anniversary version of its MG4, the 101 Edition, created to celebrate the 101st anniversary of Morris Garages (MG). Prices start at 129,536 Malaysian ringgit, matching the standard MG4 Lux Extended Range.

As a limited run, the MG4 101 Edition is defined by exclusive exterior cues: a Union Jack–inspired roof graphic and a distinctive 'One of One' script underscoring the individuality of each car. Buyers can pick between two standout paint shades — Dynamic Red or Holborn Blue — both paired with a striking two-tone interior. The celebratory look is deliberate; the roof motif is the kind of flourish that will divide tastes yet makes the car instantly recognizable.

Under the skin, the MG4 101 Edition uses a 77‑kWh NCM battery rated for up to 520 kilometers on the WLTP cycle. The electric motor delivers 245 hp, good for a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 6.1 seconds. Charging times depend on the connection: on AC, a full charge takes about 6 hours 12 minutes, while a DC fast charger up to 135 kW can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in 38 minutes. The blend promises brisk real-world pace and viable long-distance use, with DC stops kept reasonably short.

Equipment remains thoroughly modern, with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a digital instrument cluster, and an infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Active safety highlights include active cruise control, automatic emergency braking (AEB), blind-spot monitoring (BSM), lane-keeping assist (LKA), and other ADAS features.
