Peugeot 408 and 2008 mild-hybrids go on sale in Turkey

Peugeot launches 48V HYBRID 408 and 2008 in Turkey: 1.2 PureTech 145 hp, eDCS6, CO2 from 113–115 g/km, prices from ₺2,238,000. Allure and GT trims available.

Peugeot has expanded its powertrain range just before the New Year and opened sales of mild-hybrid versions of two core models—the 408 fastback and the 2008 crossover. For Turkey, the update matters: both cars operate in the most in-demand segments, and the new technology cuts fuel consumption without moving to full-fledged PHEV solutions. It’s a neat compromise for buyers who want better efficiency without changing their routine.

Both newcomers use the same setup: Stellantis’s 48V HYBRID built around a 1.2 PureTech gasoline engine rated at 145 hp, paired with an electric motor and the eDCS6 six-speed dual-clutch transmission with wet clutches. The battery charges while driving, and the electric motor steps in at low revs to add torque and smooth out acceleration. Thanks to that, some urban scenarios can unfold in electric-only mode with zero local emissions—albeit over short stretches. In crowded city traffic, that kind of assist tends to make takeoff and creep more measured and more pleasant.

Peugeot also shares CO2 benchmarks: for the 408, from 115 g/km; for the 2008, from 113–114 g/km. In Turkey, the trims offered are Allure and GT. Prices start at 2,238,000 Turkish lira for the Peugeot 2008 1.2 Hybrid 145hp eDCS6 and at 2,290,000 for the Peugeot 408 1.2 Hybrid 145hp eDCS6.
