2026 SEAT Arona: facelifted design, smarter tech, city-friendly performance
The 2026 SEAT Arona hits Spanish showrooms with a second facelift, 95 hp 1.0 TSI, upgraded infotainment and safety, and gear to rival Yaris Cross and Puma.
The 2026 SEAT Arona has reached Spanish showrooms with a clear mission: stay in the fight against crowd-pleasers like the Toyota Yaris Cross, Ford Puma, and Renault Captur. It’s the second facelift for this generation, and the tweaks are deliberate rather than dramatic—sharper looks, a tidier cabin, and upgraded tech. The core qualities remain intact: practical packaging and engaging handling on the MQB A0 platform. The update doesn’t try to reinvent the model; it refines it where it counts.
The base setup pairs a 95 hp 1.0 TSI petrol with a five-speed manual. Officially, the Arona does 0–100 km/h in 11.1 seconds and tops out at 182 km/h, which positions it as a city and suburban crossover rather than a long-distance cruiser. The claimed 5.3 l/100 km is optimistic; in everyday mixed driving, 6–6.5 l/100 km sounds more realistic. Mild-hybrid versions are slated for 2027.
Even in the Arona+ entry spec, equipment is generous: 16-inch alloys, Full LED headlights, air conditioning, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8.25-inch infotainment display, and Full Link with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety coverage includes six airbags and a suite of driver aids such as traffic sign recognition, lane keeping, and automatic emergency braking. For a base trim, that reads like the essentials most buyers actually use.
