An unusual listing has surfaced on the U.S. classic-car market: a 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle whose owner says he wants the car off his driveway as soon as possible.

He is ready to consider any reasonable offer as long as the car changes hands. He has owned it since 1985, but the last 15 years were spent outdoors, and the body shows it. The 1972 model year marked the final chapter for this storied generation. Even as interest in high-power machines waned in the early 1970s, Chevrolet still offered a broad range of engines, including 350- and 402-cubic-inch V8s.

This example is not an SS despite the matching hood, and it was equipped with a 350. It does not currently start and will need at least a starter. The body is in line for serious restoration work.

The seller notes the car originally had a vinyl roof, which he removed, and corrosion has since returned. Rust is visible, so the next owner should plan for substantial body repairs. On the upside, the interior has survived in relatively decent condition—rare for a car that sat outside for years.
