Tesla expands Full Self-Driving demo rides to five European countries

Tesla broadens its Full Self-Driving demo rides to Italy, France, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland, showcasing the tech as EU regulators and RDW weigh approval

Tesla has broadened its European demo program for Full Self-Driving. The initiative began in Italy, France, and Germany, where visitors could reserve a showcase ride through local showrooms. Demand quickly exhausted the initial schedule, prompting Tesla to add more slots and prepare a wider rollout, as the 32CARS website noted earlier.

On December 9, Tesla announced that rides are now available in Denmark and Switzerland. That brings FSD demonstrations to five European countries. The format doubles as promotion, keeping the technology in front of customers while EU regulators continue their lengthy reviews. For prospective buyers, time in the passenger seat often says more than any spec sheet, and Tesla seems intent on using that advantage.

Elon Musk has said that aligning the requirements has been extremely difficult. The final stage involves engagement with the Dutch authority RDW, which is considering allowing the feature next year. Tesla argues that some current rules are outdated and hopes that positive user experiences will speed up approval, positioning the system as a noteworthy tech arrival on the European market.
