Mercedes-Benz recalls EQE models over loose wheel caps

Mercedes-Benz has announced a new recall for its EQE family. This time, the campaign affects just 317 vehicles worldwide, with only seven of them in Germany.

The issue stems from wheel caps that may not be fastened securely enough. They could detach while the vehicle is in motion, creating a road-safety risk.

According to the German automaker, the recall covers Mercedes-Benz EQE models built between October 19, 2022, and May 28, 2024. The numbers are modest, yet when a component can shake loose at speed, swift corrective action is simply the prudent path.
