2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT loses MagneRide, gains GT Performance & Handling package
The 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT drops MagneRide from standard spec, moving it to a new Performance & Handling package, updates and a GT California Special.
For the 2026 model year, the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT drops MagneRide from its standard equipment. The adaptive suspension now sits in a new GT Performance & Handling package, whose contents and price Ford isn’t disclosing yet. For a performance-oriented GT, that’s a notable shift.
MagneRide uses dampers filled with a magnetorheological fluid. Under a magnetic field, the particles change viscosity, allowing the suspension to switch quickly between firmer and softer responses. Previously, this technology was part of the GT’s base setup.
Beyond the suspension reshuffle, Ford has updated the 2026 Mustang Mach-E lineup. The Bronze Appearance package is gone. The Technology package is now available on select trims. And the Fixed Glass Roof is offered for the first time on Premium and GT models.
Also new is the GT California Special, a version with Rave Blue accents, hood graphics, and 20-inch Carbonized Gray wheels featuring GT/CS logos and black aero caps. Rally graphics become optional, while the GT Appearance package no longer includes red brake calipers. Pricing for the refreshed 2026 Mustang Mach-E has not been announced.
