Volkswagen Multivan and ID. Buzz 75 Jahre: specs, prices, and 500-unit German release
Volkswagen marks 75 years with Multivan and ID. Buzz 75 Jahre editions for Germany. 500 units, dealer-only orders, fixed savings, key specs and prices.
Volkswagen is marking the Bulli’s big milestone: 2025 brings 75 years since the VW T1 and the start of the Transporter lineage that has been rolling off lines since 1950. To celebrate, the brand has prepared two special editions for the German market—the Multivan and the ID. Buzz in 75 Jahre guise. The combined production run is capped at 500 units, with orders taken exclusively through dealers and no online sales. Orders are due to open soon, and the hook is a fixed-price saving: 3,869 euros on the Multivan and 5,344 euros on the ID. Buzz.
The Multivan 75 Jahre is built in Hanover and based on the long-wheelbase version with a 2.0 TDI rated at 110 kW (150 hp) paired with a DSG. Its look leans into heritage with a two-tone Candy White/Starlight Blue Metallic finish and dedicated 75 branding. Equipment includes 19-inch Halmstad alloys, tinted rear windows, IQ.Light Matrix headlights, ambient lighting with logo projection, and a folding tow bar. Inside, you get two-tone ArtVelours seats with leather-look accents, heated front seats, a multi-function table, a heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control, Digital Cockpit Pro, Discover Pro navigation, a rear-view camera, and Travel Assist. The specification is priced at 77,063.81 euros. The color split and wheel choice suit the Multivan’s proportions well, giving the family shuttle a bit of ceremony without tipping into pastiche.
The ID. Buzz 75 Jahre also comes out of Hanover, keeping the two-tone theme and anniversary graphics. It’s the long version with an 86 kWh battery and a heat pump, rear-wheel drive, and 210 kW (286 hp). On the outside it rides on 20-inch Solna wheels with 235/265 tires, and adds a heated windshield, tinting, ambient lighting, and a folding tow bar. The cabin seats seven, with SEAQUAL fiber upholstery made from recycled plastic, plus a heated steering wheel, Discover Pro, the IDA voice assistant with ChatGPT integration, an alarm, a camera, Travel Assist, and three-zone climate control. The price is 75,169 euros. The tech mix reads current and considered—IDA with ChatGPT will likely be the talking point, while the bigger battery and heat pump align neatly with the Buzz’s electric brief.
In 2026, the range will be joined by the long-wheelbase ID. Buzz Cargo with the 86 kWh battery; further details are set to follow.
