GM's customer satisfaction program N252507990 replaces jack-kit lifting rods on select 2025 Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac models free of charge through Dec 31, 2027.

General Motors has launched customer satisfaction program N252507990 for a selection of 2025 models. The company identified jack-kit lifting rods in certain trucks and SUVs that can deform or even break under load. GM reports no known cases of failure, yet points to a higher risk when changing a tire on the roadside.

The parts in question carry numbers 22925284 and 22925285. Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac dealers will replace them with component 7012638 at no charge through December 31, 2027.

The program covers the Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, as well as the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban. It also extends to the Chevrolet Silverado 1500/2500/3500 and GMC Sierra 1500/2500/3500 pickups. GM emphasizes that the swap is a proactive measure and does not affect the vehicles’ driving characteristics.
