Fiat plots the road to 2030: a 15,000-euro EV, a four-seat microcar and two Grizzly SUVs

Stellantis has laid out the Fiat line-up through 2030: a sub-four-metre electric city car from Pomigliano, the Multiplina microcar and the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback SUVs on the Smart Car platform.

Stellantis has detailed FIAT’s new industrial plan running through 2030. The brand is betting on compact cars, crossovers and electric mobility.

The centrepiece is a city EV due in 2028. It will be built at the Pomigliano d’Arco plant and should cost around 15,000 euros. The body will stay under four metres long. There is no data yet on battery capacity, range or performance: the car is being developed around practicality and low running costs. Its design is expected to echo the classic Fiat Panda with its strict, boxy lines.

The same year brings a four-seat L7e-class electric microcar that slots in above the Topolino. Top speed is 90 km/h with an output of roughly 15 kW. The project draws on the historic 600 Multipla, hence the name — Multiplina. In the plan’s slides the model was listed as Quattrolino, but that was only a working title: Fiat showed the concept under its final name.

A major step for global markets is the FIAT Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback SUV family. Both are built on the Smart Car platform from Stellantis and differ in body style: the classic Grizzly leans on practicality, while the Fastback version gets a coupe-like roofline. The range will include petrol, mild hybrid and electric versions with 101 to 156 hp. The electric variant is said to get a 54 kWh battery. These figures are preliminary.

The new Fiat Panda, meanwhile, is being pushed back. The current generation, sold as the Pandina, will stay in the range at least until the end of the decade and continue to serve as the brand’s entry model. Official figures on the traction batteries, the range of the announced EVs and the final designs have yet to be released.
