GMC Hummer EV: Jet Black Interior Arrives for 2027, but NACS Charging Is the Bigger Upgrade

A fully black cabin is coming to the GMC Hummer EV for the first time, but in the 2027 update it’s not the color that matters most — it’s the switch to a built-in NACS charging port. The Jet Black interior will be available across the electric pickup and SUV lineup, though GMC hasn’t yet confirmed pricing or which trims will offer it.

The automaker calls Jet Black the first all-black color scheme in Hummer EV history. Previous interiors used combined tones, so the new finish genuinely changes how the cabin feels, though it doesn’t touch the layout, screens, or materials.

Don’t confuse the standard option with the anniversary Hummer EV ICON | 25. That special edition adds a yellow ICON exterior, exclusive wheels, an individually numbered dashboard badge, and unique drive-mode graphics. The Jet Black interior itself is one of the standard updates across the entire 2027 lineup, while the commemorative details stay exclusive to the limited run.

Every 2027 Hummer EV will also switch to a native NACS port, simplifying access to compatible charging stations without a separate adapter. Production begins at the Factory ZERO plant in Detroit-Hamtramck before the end of 2026, with sales planned for the U.S. and Canada.

The current Hummer EV starts at $97,200 in the U.S., but pricing for the 2027 model hasn’t been published yet. That makes Jet Black a nice option for buyers who never liked the contrasting cabins, while the built-in NACS port is set to make a bigger difference day to day.
