Maserati returns to Modena with GranTurismo and GranCabrio, debuting Fuoriserie personalization

Maserati restarts GranTurismo and GranCabrio production in Modena and launches Fuoriserie personalization, with bespoke materials and the new Meccanica Lirica.

Maserati is setting out to reclaim its place as a legend of Italian luxury with a two-pronged move: restarting GranTurismo and GranCabrio production in Modena and launching the Fuoriserie personalization program. Stellantis underscores that Maserati is its most prestigious marque, and the brand is steering back to the values that once made it a name in global car culture.

Fuoriserie introduces a new tier of customization, where a client can shape a truly singular Maserati. From body colors to the rarest materials, from polished accents to bespoke interiors, the limits are set only by budget and imagination. It reads as a bid to bring back the spirit of coachbuilt individuality rather than a simple set of catalog options.

The return of GranTurismo and GranCabrio to historic Modena is a symbol of a fresh chapter. These models are once again built where the marque’s character first took shape. To mark the occasion, Maserati showcased two unique Trofeo cars—one GranTurismo and one GranCabrio—finished in the new shades Rosso Velluto and Oro Lirico. The palette feels intentional, more artisanal than ostentatious.

Inside, leather and Alcantara pair with wood, exclusive details, and a Creata a Modena emblem. A new Meccanica Lirica package also debuts; its headline feature is an original exhaust tip design that turns the engine’s sound into a visual statement—an elegant way to connect acoustics and aesthetics without overdoing it.

The move from Mirafiori to Modena took just 45 days. Maserati is speaking with confidence about this new phase, and it may be the course correction that lifts the brand back to the pinnacle of Italian luxury.
