Lynk & Co Changes Its Approach in Germany: Chinese Brand Bets on Dealers
The Chinese brand is moving away from its month-to-month subscription model and expanding sales through Volvo's German dealer network, with the 08 plug-in hybrid as its main driver.
Chinese brand Lynk & Co, part of the Geely group, is rethinking how it sells cars in Germany. The company is gradually moving away from its month-to-month subscription model and putting its money on traditional sales through a dealer network.
To grow its footprint, Lynk & Co is leaning on the dealer network of Volvo, another brand in the Geely orbit. Last year, 23 dealers were brought into the network, 20 of which are already open for sales. Three more showrooms were added at the end of May, including the brand’s first location in eastern Germany — in Dresden. Next up are Oldenburg and Lüdenscheid, with the network expected to grow by roughly two new sites a month on average.
As of June 8, 2026, Lynk & Co has sold around 600 cars in Germany and says it’s on track. The main driver has been the Lynk & Co 08 crossover: a plug-in hybrid about 4.8 metres long with 200 km of electric range, accounting for around 60% of sales. The line-up also includes the compact plug-in hybrid crossover 01 and the all-electric coupe crossover 02.
