Skoda is gearing up for the world premiere of the Peaq — a new all-electric seven-seat SUV. According to the brand’s press office, the reveal will take place on June 23 in south-eastern France, and for Skoda this is no ordinary EV: the Peaq is set to cap the line-up and become its new flagship.

Skoda has shared little so far. What is confirmed: the Peaq will be fully electric and seat seven, taking the top spot in the large SUV segment. The live stream starts at 18:25 CEST on Skoda Storyboard and the brand’s official YouTube channel. Ahead of the reveal, the company released a teaser promising a signature body colour and a design rooted in the Modern Solid language.

The Peaq’s role is clear from its positioning. The Enyaq became Skoda’s first mass-market electric crossover, the Elroq covers the more compact class, and the Peaq is meant to win over buyers who want a family-sized format on par with the Kodiaq but without an ICE. According to 32CARS market monitoring, Skoda itself names the Peugeot E-5008 as the main direct rival, with the Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Volvo EX90 close by in the segment. The Volkswagen ID. Buzz also overlaps on passenger logic, although it is formally closer to an electric van format.

For buyers, seating for seven will not be the only thing that matters. A large electric SUV needs a solid range, fast charging, a usable third row and a boot that does not vanish once all the seats are in place. If Skoda keeps its trademark Simply Clever practicality and does not push the price too high, the Peaq could become one of the most rational electric flagships in Europe.

Skoda is not casting the Peaq as a new flagship by chance: it is meant to set the tone for the next generation of the brand’s large models. After the Kodiaq, the family Skoda will look and sell rather differently.
