This Ram 1500 TRX has covered 87,000 km, yet it costs almost as much as a sportscar

A 2022 Ram 1500 TRX with bronze Vossen wheels and a green leather interior is listed in Miami at $89,980 — well above market floor for high-mileage cars.

The Ram 1500 TRX long ago stopped being just a fast pickup. It is one of those vehicles where the practicality of a work truck meets a Hellcat engine and the kind of pace that can embarrass older supercars. That is why even used examples hold their value.

One such TRX from 2022 is now up for sale in Miami. According to the seller, Limited Spec, the odometer reads 87,000 km. For a collector toy that is a lot, but for a big American pickup it looks more like a sign of active use than a death sentence. The asking price is set at $89,980. That is not the bottom of the market: today a high-mileage TRX usually starts above $50,000, and fresh or barely-driven examples with a strong spec easily cross the $100,000 mark.

This car sits between two worlds. The mileage is serious, but the looks and modifications give it character. On the outside the pickup wears bronze Vossen wheels, neon yellow badges on the front, sides and rear, a glossy grey body, black plastic lower cladding and side steps. It does not try to look modest — though the real surprise waits inside.

The cabin has been fully reupholstered. Instead of the standard trim there is now bright green leather with black inserts. Green accents appear on the door cards, seats, steering wheel, dashboard, centre console and other details. TRX logos are scattered through the interior so nobody forgets this is no ordinary Ram.

The seller does not dwell on the engine, but the TRX powertrain is well known: a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 Hellcat producing 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration to 60 mph takes 4.5 seconds. For a pickup of this size and weight that still sounds barely believable. There is only one caveat: against the new Ram 1500 SRT TRX with 777 hp, which Stellantis unveiled for the 2027 model year and will put on sale in the second half of 2026, this truck no longer sits at the top of the lineup.

But for anyone who wants the original TRX with that Hellcat atmosphere and is not scared off by mileage, the car remains a strong pick. A buyer should look beyond the price tag and cabin colour. For a truck like this the service history, condition of the suspension, tyres, brakes, supercharged V8 and any signs of hard off-road use all matter.

High mileage on its own is not a deal-breaker if the vehicle has been looked after properly. People do not buy a TRX for rationality. They buy it for the sound, the torque and the feeling that a family pickup is always ready to launch off the line like a muscle car.
