Audi RS 6 Avant Performance and A6L e-tron debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2025
At the Guangzhou Auto Show 2025, Audi unveils the RS 6 Avant Performance (630 hp) and the China-focused A6L e-tron, showcasing tech and a local lineup.
At the Guangzhou Auto Show, Audi put two heavy-hitters in the spotlight — the RS 6 Avant Performance and the all-electric A6L e-tron. They aim at different corners of the market yet send the same message: a sharper push on technology and a broader, locally tuned lineup.
The RS 6 Avant Performance stands among the brand’s most powerful wagons. Its upgraded 4.0-liter V8 TFSI produces 630 hp and 850 Nm, launching the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. The exterior on display wore a vivid blue finish, enlarged air intakes, an assertive front bumper, Audi’s gloss-black Singleframe grille, 22-inch forged wheels, and carbon-ceramic brakes — a look that matches the numbers.
Inside, the Audi Virtual Cockpit anchors an infotainment system with up-to-date services. The sport seats use mixed materials, complemented by carbon accents and expanded drive-mode settings. Quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission support stability and confident handling at speed.
The A6L e-tron electric sedan is designed specifically for the Chinese market. Built on the PPE platform and aimed at the business segment, it features narrow DRLs, lower light modules, and a large black decorative panel in place of a traditional grille.
The silhouette is stretched and sleek, with a smooth roofline and an integrated spoiler. An extended wheelbase brings extra room to the second row — a priority for the local audience. Aerodynamics benefit from the closed front section and cleaner body lines.
The cabin follows Audi’s minimalist approach: a digital instrument panel, a large central screen, and premium materials. The multimedia system supports local services and voice control. While specifications on the stand were not disclosed, an all-wheel-drive dual-motor version and a range of more than 600 km on the CLTC cycle are expected. Together, the two debuts show Audi leaning into both performance and electrification to strengthen its footing in China.
