Volkswagen ID. Buzz: the Gute-Nacht-Paket turns the electric Bulli into a tiny camper
Volkswagen has launched the Gute-Nacht-Paket for the ID. Buzz: a bed frame, folding mattress, blackout set, table, two chairs and a dedicated sleep mode. Price from 2,600 euros.
Volkswagen has made the ID. Buzz more practical for short trips with an overnight stay. For the electric “Bulli”, the brand has rolled out the Gute-Nacht-Paket — a kit that transforms the passenger ID. Buzz into a compact camper for spontaneous getaways, weekends or festivals.
The package includes a bed frame, a folding mattress measuring 2.0 × 1.2 m, a blackout set for the windows, a table, two chairs and ventilation grilles for the cab’s side windows. Volkswagen calls this format a Tinycamper for two — not a full-blown motorhome, but a solution for anyone who needs to sleep in the vehicle without a complex conversion.
A dedicated software mode handles the overnight side of things. It keeps the cabin climate stable for up to 48 hours, dims the lighting and comfort functions so they don’t disturb sleep, and saves energy. That’s the key difference from a regular accessory pack: the electric van itself creates a calm environment for the night.
Another upside is the Vehicle-to-Load function. Through an adapter, the ID. Buzz delivers 230 V power with continuous output of up to 2,000 W. That’s enough for a fridge, a coffee machine, an e-bike charger or other camping gear.
The package is priced from 2,600 euros and is available for passenger versions of the ID. Buzz in both wheelbases and all seat configurations.
