Peugeot is preparing a 24 Hours of Le Mans special edition for its production line-up. According to the press office of Stellantis, the project marks 100 years since Peugeot first entered the “24 Hours of Le Mans”. The brand first lined up on the grid in 1926, when the endurance marathon was being held only for the fourth time.

The special version will not be limited to a single model — it arrives on five at once: Peugeot 208, 308, 408, 3008 and 5008. An important point: this is not a new sports car, nor a road-going take on the racing 9X8, but a design treatment for mass-market models. The full powertrain line-up and technical specs will be revealed closer to the commercial launch at next year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

What is known is that the 24 Hours of Le Mans versions will be built on the GT trim. The styling combines deep black with the signature blue of the race. Peugeot promises a more sporting French character and rich equipment, though no specifics yet on prices, markets or available engines.

For Peugeot, the link to Le Mans is more than decoration. Back in 1894 the brand took part in the Paris–Rouen race, which Stellantis calls the first race in motorsport history and an endurance event in its own right. At the 2026 edition Peugeot is again on the Le Mans grid with two 9X8 hypercars in the top Hypercar category.
