Jason Momoa’s One-Off Bentley Blower Jnr: a personal take on the 1929 icon
Actor Jason Momoa has commissioned a fully bespoke Bentley Blower Jnr with British atelier Hedley Studios — Momoa Crimson paint, Koa wood dash and a hand-carved brass skull selector.
Jason Momoa has put together a unique Bentley Blower Jnr together with British atelier Hedley Studios. As Motor1 Italia reports, the actor, best known for his role as Aquaman, was personally involved from the earliest stages and helped shape more than 100 bespoke elements. This is not a limited Bentley special edition but a single car built for one specific owner — with delivery scheduled for this summer.
At the core of the project sits the Bentley Blower Jnr — an electric replica built at 85% scale of the legendary 1929 Bentley 4½ Litre Supercharged. Hedley Studios hand-builds these cars in the UK, but Momoa’s version takes the formula somewhere deeply personal. The bodywork is finished in a bespoke Momoa Crimson — a deep, dark red — while the brass fenders and wheel arches have been treated to develop a natural patina over time.
The cabin is just as personal. The dashboard is crafted from Koa wood — a Hawaiian timber long used for surfboards and traditional instruments, and a nod to the actor’s home island. The most eye-catching detail is the drive selector shaped like a skull, hand-carved from a solid block of brass over more than 100 hours. Inside, a bespoke “Momoa 1 of 1” nameplate confirms the car’s one-off status.
There are family references too. The number 666 appears on the radiator and on the personal number plate, a tribute to the actor’s grandfather, who was nicknamed El Diablo. The steering wheel carries the On The Roam logo — the title of Momoa’s HBO Max documentary series on travel, craft and creativity. That show is also where the build process of this very car is documented.
The commission is a neat illustration of where luxury is heading: for the wealthiest buyers, simply owning a rare car is no longer enough. They want an object with a personal story, with materials, symbols and hand-work that turn the car into something close to an art piece.
