Ford Bronco Amazon Edition: Factory Snorkel for 925mm Wading Depth
Ford Bronco Amazon Edition gets factory snorkel, wading depth 925 mm. On sale May 26, this limited off-roader is built for serious off-road adventures.
Ford has unveiled the Bronco Amazon Edition, a limited-run variant hitting the market on May 26. The headline upgrade isn't cosmetic: the SUV comes with a factory-installed high-mounted air intake on the right A-pillar, designed to help the Bronco tackle water, mud, and seasonal washouts with greater confidence.
Wading depth now stands at 925 mm. For a body-on-frame off-roader, that's more significant than extra lighting or a new paint color. Water ingestion can lead to expensive engine repairs, and an official snorkel means the solution has been tested and integrated into the vehicle's design, not simply bolted on as an aftermarket accessory. The Amazon Edition also retains the professional off-road gear from the Wildtrak trim.
Dimensions remain substantial: length 4825 mm, width 2070 mm, height 1990 mm, and a 2950 mm wheelbase. The Bronco keeps its three-piece removable roof and quick-release doors. According to Ford, switching to open-top mode takes up to 20 minutes, so the SUV doubles as both a serious off-road tool and a fun vehicle for roofless cruising.
Inside, there's a 12-inch central display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, SYNC+ infotainment, Apple CarPlay, and off-road mode readouts. A practical touch: a washable PVC floor with drain plugs, making cleanup after mud, water, and sand much easier.
Under the hood sits a 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder producing 202 kW (275 hp) and 429 Nm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. For the Bronco Amazon Edition, the key figure isn't acceleration—it's 925 mm. Sometimes, that number determines whether a trip ends as an adventure or with a tow truck.
