While Audi Sport prepares the next-generation RS 6, the current Avant continues to remind us why it has such a devoted fan base. A recent build featuring Z Performance wheels shows that this super wagon doesn't need an aggressive widebody kit to look more expensive, meaner, and more eye-catching.

The main attraction is the bright orange paint—whether a wrap or respray, the effect is immediate: the typically restrained German wagon suddenly channels Lamborghini. And surprisingly, it pulls it off. The RS 6 has always had a dual personality—daily commuter by day, autobahn missile by night—and this look simply amplifies its wild side.

The car sits noticeably lower. Based on the extreme ride height in the photos, it likely uses an adjustable air suspension—in its lowest setting, this RS 6 won't be friendly with speed bumps or steep driveways. But visually, the wagon looks wider and more planted.

The new multi-spoke Z Performance wheels with exposed lug nuts start at €5,900 per set. The silver finish contrasts nicely with the orange body, and yellow brake calipers peek through the spokes. It's a bold combination, but one that avoids any hint of a cheap show car.

Mechanically, it's probably all stock. That means the familiar 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, producing 630 hp and 850 Nm of torque. The factory RS 6 Avant hits 100 km/h in just over three seconds, with a top speed limited to 250 km/h.

The big question around the next RS 6 remains its powertrain. Some anticipate a V8 with hybrid assistance, while others hint at a possible V6. That's exactly why the current Avant now looks especially appealing. It still has that straightforward formula that made the RS 6 a favorite: a massive trunk, all-wheel drive, and an engine that feels almost too potent for a family wagon.
