ASTRAUX Introduces AL6 and AL7 Electric Quadricycles for Urban Mobility in Italy
China Car Company launches ASTRAUX AL6 and AL7 electric quadricycles in Italy. These compact two-seat EVs offer up to 180 km range, ideal for urban mobility. Discover more.
China Car Company is upping its presence in Italy, taking on the role of official importer and distributor for the ASTRAUX brand. The company unveiled its new line of electric quadricycles — the AL6 and AL7 EV — at Automotive Dealer Day in Verona.
ASTRAUX isn't a full-fledged car in the traditional sense. It's a compact urban runabout that sits somewhere between a scooter and a small EV. Measuring just 2,317 mm long, 1,295 mm wide, 1,720 mm tall, with a 1,585 mm wheelbase, it has two seats. That makes it ideal for short hops through city centers, narrow streets, and zones where a regular car becomes cumbersome.
The L6e version tops out at 45 km/h and can be driven from age 14. The more potent L7e — accessible from 16 — reaches 80 to 90 km/h, enough to keep pace on city highways and suburban roads. For parents, there's a compelling argument: four wheels, a roof, and an enclosed cabin feel safer than a scooter.
Range is claimed at up to 180 km on a single charge, with a 3.3 kW motor. Inside, there's a clear instrument cluster, a surprisingly roomy cabin for the class, adjustable seats, a panoramic roof, and smartphone mirroring for apps like Google Maps and Spotify.
Both the AL6 and AL7 are fully homologated under EU Regulation 168/2013 as L6e and L7e vehicles, meaning they can be registered and used on public roads across the European Union. The warranty lasts three years and covers the key components of the electric powertrain.
The idea behind ASTRAUX isn't to replace the family car, but to handle trips that would otherwise be made by scooter, car-sharing, or aging city runabouts. In Italy, where historic centers are cramped and car restrictions are tightening, this format might well be a practical daily driver rather than a novelty.
