The Ford F-150 has long been considered a populist pickup in the U.S., but in Europe, it transforms into a status symbol. According to Motor1, Hedin US Motor is now offering the model, with the F-150 XLT starting at €76,500 – roughly $88,900.

For context, a 2026 Ford F-150 XLT in the U.S. starts at $44,700, or about €38,500, excluding delivery and options. That's nearly double the price, so in Europe, this is no longer just a work truck but more of a large American icon on wheels.

The XLT sits in the middle of the lineup, between the STX and Lariat. In Europe, the pickup is offered with a 5.0-liter gasoline V8 Coyote engine producing 406 hp and 556 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.

The choice of a V8 is particularly striking given Europe's push for lower emissions. In the U.S., the F-150 is also available as a hybrid, but European buyers get the classic large naturally aspirated engine – exactly what many love about American pickups.

The F-150 does have practical appeal: it's bigger than the Ranger and capable of heavy work. But on European roads, where compact cars like the Renault Twingo and Kia Picanto are common, such a pickup will be perceived very differently. Narrow streets, parking spaces, and fuel costs quickly remind you that this vehicle was built for a different world.

For those who need a Ford with a cargo bed but without extreme size and price, the Ranger remains an option. In Europe, it's even available with a plug-in hybrid, which American buyers don't yet have. The F-150 here becomes not a mass-market tool but an expensive way to make a statement.
