Nissan has given the electric Ariya a subtle update for the 2027 model year. It’s not a major overhaul, but a cosmetic refresh with a few useful tweaks inside and to the infotainment system.

The most obvious change is up front. A smooth body-colored panel replaces the previous fake grille. The headlights are also redesigned: the daytime running lights move closer to the edges and form a three-stripe downward extension. New wheel designs and fresh paint colors are also available.

Inside, the Ariya gets ambient lighting with 64 color options. The center console storage bin grows to 3.8 liters, and the wireless charger now includes cooling and delivers up to 15 watts. For the owner, these are the little things that don’t change the car’s character but make daily use more pleasant.

Technically, the main update is a new version of NissanConnect. Navigation can be activated by voice, and the system takes battery charge into account, automatically planning charging stops and preconditioning the battery. Charging capabilities remain unchanged: up to 11 kW on AC and up to 130 kW on a fast DC station. The V2L function provides up to 3.7 kW.

In Germany, the updated Ariya is already available to order. The front-wheel-drive version with a 178 kW (242 hp) motor and an 87 kWh battery starts at €58,840 — about $69,019. The all-wheel-drive e-4Force with 306 hp is priced at least €63,840 — about $74,884. First deliveries are expected in September.

The Ariya hasn’t become cheaper or gained a breakthrough range, but Nissan has removed the controversial fake grille and improved the things drivers use every day: lighting, phone charging, navigation, and route planning.
