New DS No.7 E-Tense Electric SUV: Pricing, Range, and Features
DS Automobiles unveils the new DS No.7 E-Tense electric SUV with up to 740 km range. Prices start at €56,300. Available with front or all-wheel drive, fast charging, and advanced tech.
DS Automobiles, part of Stellantis, is gearing up to launch the new DS No.7, the successor to the DS 7. The brand's press office announced that the electric DS No.7 E-Tense will start at €56,300 in Germany. Orders are expected to open in the coming weeks, with sales beginning in autumn.
The biggest technical change is the switch from the EMP2 platform to the STLA Medium architecture, already used by several electric models from Opel, Peugeot, and Jeep. The entry-level DS No.7 E-Tense FWD comes with front-wheel drive, a 169 kW motor, and a 73.7 kWh battery, delivering an estimated range of up to 543 km. The Long Range version, with a 97.2 kWh battery and a 180 kW motor, offers up to 740 km of range and costs from €61,700.
An all-wheel-drive DS No.7 E-Tense AWD Long Range will join the lineup later, with pricing starting at €66,600. This version delivers 257 kW, or up to 276 kW in Boost mode, sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, and has a claimed range of up to 679 km. The top speed of all electric versions is electronically limited to 190 km/h.
The large NMC battery pack is built in France and supports DC fast charging at up to 160 kW. According to DS, a 20 to 80% top-up takes 27 minutes, and a 10-minute charge adds up to 200 km of range. It also features Plug & Charge, vehicle-to-load (V2L), and battery preconditioning.
The new DS No.7 has grown slightly in size, with length now at 4.66 meters and wheelbase at 2.79 meters. Cargo volume ranges from 500 to 560 liters depending on version. Features include active suspension, one-pedal driving, digital mirrors, a large head-up display, night vision, Level 2 driver-assistance systems, and the DS Iris System 2.0 infotainment system with ChatGPT integration.
