Genesis Begins European Sales with Electric GV60, Electrified GV70 and G80

Hyundai's premium brand Genesis enters Europe with three EVs: GV60, Electrified GV70, and Electrified G80. First Edition trims offer rich features. Starting at €52,050.

Premium brand Genesis, owned by Hyundai, is launching sales in Europe with three electric models, according to Dutch media. The lineup includes the Genesis GV60, Electrified GV70, and Electrified G80. For two of the crossovers, the company has prepared special First Edition trims.

The Genesis GV60 First Edition costs €52,050. That's slightly more than the standard Pure version at €49,990. The powertrain carries over unchanged: the electric crossover gets a 229 hp motor and an 84 kWh battery. The real difference lies in the feature set. The First Edition adds auto-dimming side mirrors, dynamic welcome lighting front and rear, and the Parking Package.

That package includes surround-view cameras, blind-spot monitoring with image display, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, and parking sensors. It's worth noting that these are 2026 model year GV60 units in stock. The price of the First Edition matches what the base GV60 Pure will cost for the 2027 model year later.

The larger Genesis Electrified GV70 First Edition is priced at €71,360. It also comes with the Parking Package as standard. For this model, the package includes navigation with augmented reality, blind-spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, and parking assistants. The Electrified GV70 in all versions has 490 hp, all-wheel drive, and an 84 kWh battery.

By doing so, Hyundai is developing its premium electric brand in Europe not through cheap versions, but through rich equipment and limited launch trims.
