Adamastor Furia Prototype Completes Track Testing as Production Looms

Portugal's Adamastor Furia supercar nears production after Portimão track testing. The €1.6M, 650 hp hypercar uses a twin-turbo V6, and just 60 will be built.

Portugal's Adamastor is edging its Furia supercar toward production—a model the company proudly calls the country's first. Priced at roughly €1.6 million before tax, the car is set for a mere 60 examples. It's a confident pitch, but what makes Furia compelling isn't just the price tag or lofty comparisons: a real prototype is already being put through its paces on track, not just existing as a digital render. The brand wants to run with heavyweights like the Aston Martin Valkyrie, Pagani, Koenigsegg, and Rimac.

Adamastor says it has returned prototype #001 to Portugal's Portimao circuit to evaluate high-speed stability. The company reports that the sessions were trouble-free in terms of reliability, and the telemetry data backs up the engineering direction.

Company boss Ricardo Quintas said the results from the second outing at the Algarve circuit surpassed expectations and further validated the car's engineering concept.

Underpinning the Furia is a carbon-fiber chassis powered by a twin-turbo 3.5‑litre Ford V6. It delivers roughly 650 hp and 571 Nm of torque—numbers that echo the Ford GT. Aerodynamically, the car is claimed to generate just over 907 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, aided by a Venturi-tunnel floor.

In the company of today's hypercars, 650 horsepower won't knock a million‑euro buyer off their feet. But that's precisely what makes the Furia unique. Adamastor isn't chasing spec‑sheet supremacy. The firm, which has been working with composites, carbon‑fibre bodies, and fuel tanks since 2014, is focusing instead on track composure, low weight, and proven hardware.

The plan calls for 60 units. Should the Furia actually reach customers, it would be a rare instance of a small supercar startup making waves not by hyping record‑breaking ambitions, but by quietly and methodically delivering a real car to the road.
