Chinese brand Avatr has introduced the 06T estate, offering up to 955 hp, a CLTC range of up to 1,250 km, and Huawei technologies. The new model hits the market with a starting price of 219,900 yuan, immediately positioning itself as one of the most tech-forward projects of 2026.

Reporters from Beijing-based publication 32CARS note that the 06T is the first estate from Avatr, a joint venture between Changan, Huawei, and CATL. It targets the segment of practical yet fast cars and is offered in five versions. As a large vehicle, it measures about five meters in length with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm. The design focuses heavily on aerodynamics: a low silhouette, active grille, and digital mirrors help reduce drag and boost efficiency.

Base trims feature a dual-motor setup delivering up to 673 hp and a battery pack of up to 87.3 kWh, providing a range of up to 741 km. The top-tier variant uses three motors with a combined output of 955 hp, hitting 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds. A hybrid version is also available, pairing a 1.5-liter generator engine for a total range of up to 1,250 km, of which around 330 km is pure electric. The car comes equipped with the Huawei ADS 4 autonomous driving system, including lidar and 4D radar.

The 06T underlines a fresh trend among Chinese cars: blending high power, long range, and practicality. Estate cars have long been a niche, but electrification is bringing them back. Against the Tesla Model Y, Nio ET5 Touring, and Zeekr 001, the newcomer stands out as a more technologically advanced and powerful option.

The 06T demonstrates how the market is shifting—it's no longer about a single spec but the balance of power, range, and versatility. If the model makes its way outside China, it could significantly shake up the electric estate segment.
