Volkswagen unveils four new sedans at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show

At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, Volkswagen showcased several new and updated sedans for the Chinese market: the Sagitar L, Passat Pro, Magotan PHEV, and Lavida Pro. Based on photos from the show and information on the stands, the company is covering different formats within the same niche, from classic gasoline models to a plug-in hybrid.

The new Volkswagen Sagitar L has a body length of 4812 mm and a wheelbase of 2731 mm. Trunk volume is 553 liters. It is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine delivering 118 kW and 250 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic. Average fuel consumption is listed at 5.55 L/100 km.

The Volkswagen Passat Pro is the largest gasoline sedan shown. It measures 5006 mm long with a 2871 mm wheelbase and a 506-liter trunk. The display car featured a 2.0-liter engine producing 162 kW and 350 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG with wet clutches and front-wheel drive. Claimed average fuel consumption is 6.87 L/100 km.
