Xiaomi Vision GT: A virtual electric supercar concept for Gran Turismo

Xiaomi showcases its Vision GT electric supercar concept at 2026 Beijing Auto Show. Built for Gran Turismo, it highlights aerodynamics, AI, and innovation—but won't be produced.

Xiaomi unveiled a Vision Gran Turismo concept at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. This electric supercar, built for the Gran Turismo simulator, showcases the brand's capabilities: a drag coefficient of 0.29, downforce of -1.2g, and advanced AI architecture. However, it won't go into production.

The Vision GT project was developed as an experimental platform that lets Xiaomi step beyond mass-production cars. Created at the invitation of Gran Turismo's developers, the concept embodies a vision for future high-tech transportation. The company openly states the model is not intended for production and serves purely to demonstrate engineering and design prowess.

Aerodynamics are the car's standout feature. The design follows a 'form from wind' philosophy, eliminating unnecessary body elements. The result is a drag coefficient of 0.29 and highly efficient airflow management.

Active aerodynamic solutions are also featured, including air flow control and underbody elements. Inside, the cabin adopts a 'Sofa Racer' concept with integrated AI systems such as voice assistants and intelligent vehicle controls.

The arrival of Vision GT signals Xiaomi's ambition to establish itself not just in accessible EVs but also in shaping the brand's technological image. Projects like this are used to position the company as an innovative player.
