Toyota Yaris Cross 2026 update with redesigned front and interior
Toyota updates the Yaris Cross for 2026 with a redesigned front end, new interior features like ambient lighting, and hybrid powertrains. Learn about the changes and release date.
Toyota has rolled out a scheduled update for the Yaris Cross, focusing primarily on exterior styling changes. The model, which remains one of Europe's most popular with annual sales around 200,000 units, features a redesigned front end.
The key update is a new nose design. The traditional grille has been replaced by a system of holes that visually mimic a grille shape. This new grille is now painted in the body color, making the model appear more similar to the larger Corolla Cross, which 32CARS previously reported on. The lighting has also been revised, with the elongated daytime running lights removed and the headlights taking on a more complex shape.
The rear end remains unchanged, as does the technical package. The crossover continues to be available with hybrid powertrains producing 115 and 130 horsepower. The base version is only offered with the less powerful option.
Inside, the cabin gains new trim materials, improved seats, ambient lighting, and wireless charging, starting from the Dynamic trim level. The updated Yaris Cross is set to hit the market in the third quarter of 2026. This move keeps the model on the list of new cars for 2026.
