Kia EV3 all-wheel-drive electric crossover launched

Kia expands EV3 lineup with all-wheel-drive version: 265 hp, 572 km range, 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, starting at 45,395 euros.

Kia has expanded its EV3 electric crossover lineup by introducing an all-wheel-drive version. Previously, the model was only available with front-wheel drive and a single 204-horsepower electric motor.

The new EV3 AWD variant features two electric motors, delivering a combined 265 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, making this the fastest version in the lineup to date.

The all-wheel-drive system is exclusively paired with an 81.4 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 572 km. However, the vehicle has gained weight, now tipping the scales at 1,895 kg—an increase of 90 kg compared to the front-wheel-drive model. This detail matters because it highlights the trade-off for enhanced performance. The towing capacity has also improved, with a maximum trailer weight of 1,500 kg, which is higher than other versions of the model.

The starting price for the Kia EV3 with all-wheel drive is 45,395 euros, which is 3,000 euros more than the equivalent front-wheel-drive version. For buyers, this is important since it offers a more powerful and versatile option with better dynamic capabilities, expanding the urban electric car segment.
