Porsche unveils the Cayenne Electric: specs, range, debut details
Discover the Porsche Cayenne Electric: up to 600 hp, 600 km WLTP range and 800-volt fast charging. Global debut Nov 19, 2025, with first showings in Dubai.
Porsche has officially unveiled the new Cayenne Electric, the brand’s second fully electric model after the Macan. The global premiere is scheduled for November 19, 2025 in a digital format, with the first in-person showings set for Dubai at the Icons of Porsche festival, Revbuzz.com reports.
The electric Cayenne marks a fresh phase for the marque. For more than two decades, this SUV has embodied Porsche’s brand of versatility, blending a sporting edge with day-to-day practicality. Now it adds zero-emissions driving while preserving the brand’s characteristic dynamics and comfort, a move that reads as measured evolution rather than a clean break.
Built on the PPE platform shared with the Macan Electric, the crossover uses two electric motors for up to 600 hp and all-wheel drive. A battery of around 100 kWh is claimed to deliver up to 600 km on the WLTP cycle, while an 800-volt architecture enables charging to 80% in under 20 minutes. On paper, that combination points to long legs and short charging stops—exactly the balance many premium SUV buyers look for.
Inside, the Porsche Driver Experience concept sets the tone: three displays form a unified digital interface, and ambient lighting plus advanced online services create the atmosphere of a refined, high-tech cockpit. The focus on clarity and ergonomics comes across as cohesive rather than showy.
Production is organized with renewable energy at the Bratislava plant, which sits within Porsche’s carbon-neutral chain. The Cayenne Electric also incorporates Formula E technologies aimed at steady power delivery and efficiency—an encouraging sign for performance that holds up beyond the spec sheet.
Porsche expects the new Cayenne Electric to become one of the most sought-after premium electric SUVs, reinforcing the company’s reputation for cutting-edge tech and emotion on the road. Given the nameplate’s history and the numbers cited here, that forecast sounds well within reach.
