MG has launched the new MG4 EV Urban electric hatchback in Germany with a starting price of €24,990. This model targets families, city dwellers, and daily commuters.

The car features compact dimensions with a generous 2,750 mm wheelbase, creating a spacious interior. Boot capacity stands at 470 litres, expandable to 1,362 litres.

The MG4 EV Urban comes with 43 kWh and 54 kWh battery options, offering WLTP ranges of up to 325 km and 416 km respectively. Fast charging can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes. It also includes a heat pump and vehicle-to-load capability.

Power output is either 149 hp or 160 hp, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time under 10 seconds and a top speed of 160 km/h. Energy consumption is rated from 15.3 kWh per 100 km.

Standard equipment includes the MG Pilot driver assistance system, a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, and a comprehensive safety package with seven airbags. The model has earned a five-star Euro NCAP rating. Overall, the MG4 EV Urban delivers a compelling blend of affordability, features, and practicality in the mass-market segment.
