Lucid Gravity recall: seat belt anchor weld issue in 2025-2026 models

Lucid USA recalls 4,476 Gravity electric crossovers due to weak seat belt anchor welds. Learn about the safety defect, affected models, and repair details.

Lucid USA has announced a recall of 4,476 Gravity electric crossovers from the 2025-2026 model years in the United States. The campaign is registered with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) under number 26V192.

The recall stems from insufficient strength in the welded joints of the second-row seat belt anchor points. In some cases, the weld seam is shorter than required or positioned incorrectly, failing to meet FMVSS standards 207 and 210.

In a crash, this defect could prevent the seat belt from properly restraining a passenger, increasing the risk of injury.

All Lucid Gravity vehicles from the 2025-2026 model years, produced between December 2024 and February 2026, are affected. A total of 4,476 cars are involved.

The issue arose when seat supplier Camaco made an unauthorized change to the manufacturing process. After discovering the problem, Lucid halted sales and adjusted the production technique.

Lucid will inspect all affected vehicles. Depending on the condition of the welds, technicians will install a reinforcement bracket or replace the second-row seat. All work will be performed at no cost to owners.

Owner notifications are scheduled to be mailed starting May 22, 2026.
