The Audi E5 Sportback electric wagon, developed in collaboration with SAIC for the Chinese market, has demonstrated a high level of safety by earning the maximum five-star rating in C-NCAP crash tests.

The model achieved an overall score of 91.3%, which surpasses the 2024 standard's average. Its performance in active safety was particularly impressive, scoring nearly 95% and confidently passing tests of automatic emergency braking systems. For passenger protection, Audi also delivered a commendable level of over 92%, while protection for pedestrians and cyclists exceeded average values. This factor is becoming increasingly important for modern vehicles by 2026.

The car's technological foundation includes an extensive sensor suite: 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, three radars, and a lidar, all working in conjunction with a powerful Nvidia chip. This setup provides a high level of road situation recognition and accident prevention. As a mid-size vehicle, it offers up to 776 horsepower, with a driving range reaching 773 km, making it not only safe but also a technologically advanced electric car.

Consequently, the Audi E5 Sportback has secured its place among the safest models on the Chinese market, entering the top 10 according to the C-NCAP standard. Today, safety increasingly depends not on metal but on electronics, and these results highlight just how crucial driver assistance systems are in modern automobiles.
