Cupra expands its electric crossover lineup with a new base Tavascan model, featuring 190 hp, 58 kWh battery, 435 km range, and lower starting price in Essential and Business trims.

Cupra is expanding its electric crossover lineup with a new base version of the Tavascan, featuring more modest specifications. This model will have a 190-horsepower electric motor and a 58 kWh battery, replacing the previous 286 hp and 77 kWh setup.

The new version's range is estimated at around 435 km on the WLTP cycle, down from the earlier maximum of 555 km. It supports charging at 11 kW (AC) and up to 135 kW (DC).

Available in Essential and Business trims, this lower-powered variant is expected to reduce the starting price, though exact figures haven't been disclosed yet.

Inside, updates include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and the return of physical buttons on the steering wheel. The model also gains V2L functionality, one-pedal driving mode, and Launch Control. Standard equipment now includes new safety and driver-assistance systems.
