2027 Chevrolet Equinox gets Connected Cameras for real-time video
Chevrolet updates the 2027 Equinox with a Connected Cameras system for real-time video via the MyChevy app, part of the Safety and Technology package.
Chevrolet is preparing an update for the 2027 model year Equinox crossover, adding a Connected Cameras system. This system uses external and internal cameras to provide real-time video of the vehicle's surroundings.
Video access will be available through the MyChevy app. The feature is part of the Safety and Technology package, which also includes a digital rearview mirror, a surround-view system, traffic sign recognition, and other driver aids.
However, the system won't be active from the start of production, scheduled for June 2026. The manufacturer plans to enable the function later via an over-the-air update, though the necessary hardware will be installed in advance.
Similar solutions are already used on other models from the group, including the Tahoe, Suburban, and GMC Yukon. The Equinox will join this lineup of technologies. The crossover will continue to be built on the GM D2 platform in Mexico. All versions will feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 175 horsepower and an 8-speed automatic transmission, with a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
