Discover the Firefly Millennium Manbo Special Edition EV, priced from 97,800 yuan with battery leasing. Features Y2K design, 420 km range, and only 166 units available.
The Chinese brand Firefly has unveiled a special edition of its electric vehicle—the Millennium Manbo Special Edition. Priced at 137,800 yuan, the cost can drop to 97,800 yuan with a battery leasing scheme. Only 166 units will be produced.
This model stands out with its Y2K-inspired design, featuring vibrant neon colors and contrasting elements. The main body color is complemented by purple graphic inserts and black decorative details, creating a retro-futuristic effect.
Inside, the early-2000s theme continues with contrasting stitching, bright seatbelts, and decorative accents that create a visually rich space. Practicality hasn’t been sacrificed—for example, the front trunk can be opened with a double-tap.
Technically, the car is equipped with a 105 kW electric motor. The base version offers a range of up to 420 km and includes a full suite of modern features, such as automatic parking.
Its compact size and tight turning radius make it ideal for urban driving, especially in dense city environments.
Overall, the release of such versions signals a shift in the EV market beyond pure technical competition. Manufacturers are increasingly focusing on emotion and style, transforming cars into vehicles of self-expression. As a result, design and limited editions are becoming just as important to buyers as range or power.
