Nissan X-Trail update: Google integration and enhanced safety
Discover the updated Nissan X-Trail with new Google services, upgraded safety features, and E-Power hybrid powertrain. Learn about its digital transformation and pricing.
Nissan has unveiled an updated version of the X-Trail crossover, focusing on digital technology and enhanced safety. The model features a mild facelift, but the key changes are inside the cabin.
The X-Trail now comes with a new multimedia system integrated with Google services, including voice control. This elevates the driving experience to a new level, bringing it closer to the familiar logic of smartphones.
The 360-degree view system has also been upgraded, with wide-angle cameras and new display modes. One mode allows drivers to 'see' the space under the vehicle, which is particularly useful on challenging road sections.
The powertrain lineup retains only the E-Power hybrid, where a gasoline engine acts as a generator and an electric motor provides propulsion. Front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions are available, with power up to 213 horsepower.
The starting price for the updated model is expected to be around 43,000 euros.
In practice, the shift to built-in Google services is more than just a multimedia update; it reflects a broader industry transformation. Automakers are gradually ceding interface development to tech companies, which accelerates feature evolution but also makes vehicles increasingly reliant on digital ecosystems.
